March 2012 OMS Ltd Update

Mabel Alice seen here in Late March with an Irish Severn and Trent @ South Boats, Venture Quays, Isle Of Wight.

Firstly appologies for the delay in writing the Next blog!

Mabel Alice currently resides at South Boats, Venture Quays,Isle Of Wight where she has just undergone her annual maintenance, we have now completed the final round of Bird and Mammal Surveys on the Rampion Wind Farm site off Brighton (well at least for now anyway).

We relaunched Mabel Alice in Late February, she completed her sea trial soon after proving her ability at 30 years old, she exceeded my expectations when we topped 19 knots in slack water in the Solent!!! and on several occasions since we have achieved a similar speed.

We have added a Furuno Class "A ais" so you can "follow us" if you feel the need! Currently she is available for charter, however we have lots of interest since we put her back on Service.

A SPECIAL THANKS TO;
OMS Ltd would like to Thank South Boats and the support from the people at the Service center at South Boats, Venture Quays, IOW for the support during the maintenance period, without this help and support things would have been very difficult! www.southboats-servicecentre.co.uk

Offshore Marine Support Ltd will be at Seawork 2012 on stand A263 with KPM, Please feel free to drop in for a chat!

We hope to confirm our new vessel soon, we have decided to have a pre event press release!! LOOK OUT FOR OUR BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been working hard to secure this new vessel, and to preserve Mabel Alice, this has not been easy, the current market demand for new vessels remain strong yet financing and support remains at an all time low, one option was to sell Mabel Alice ( Hell dont tell her) however I think we have worked around that concern.

I will promise more information as time goes by so keep an eye on our Blogs and developments!

Sea you all at SEA WORK 2012 Southampton.
